Lowry Post MemorialsAt Fairmount Cemetery
Wander Fairmount’s military tribute section and discover the gravesites of Francis Brown Lowry and members of his WWI battalion. Lieutenant Lowry was killed on a reconnaissance mission in September 1918 in France and was relocated to Fairmount Cemetery in 1921. He received the Distinguished Service Cross for bravery. His namesake is a Denver staple, including the Lowry Air Force Base.
