Regulations for Floral Tributes

 

Cemetery Grounds - Fairmount and Riverside Cemeteries

  • Evergreen blankets and wreaths are permitted from October 15 to the end of February
  • Artificial flowers and decorations are only permitted from October 15 to the end of March
  • Extra decorations are permitted during the week of Memorial Day Weekend to June 4
  • Funeral floral sprays are permitted on graves but will be removed after 3 full days
  • No potted plants or plantings are allowed in Park Plan areas; only cut flowers are permitted on graves
  • Monumental blocks allow some planting privileges in company approved flower beds. (Obtain form at Cemetery Office)
  • Glass containers are prohibited: cans, milk cartons and the like will be removed by the Company
  • Flowers may be ordered through Fairmount Florists (303) 399-0692

Inurnment Garden, Court of Peace and Garden of Remembrance

  • Only cut flowers in Company-provided vases are permitted
  • Holly, artificial flowers or evergreen may be placed in Company-provided vases from October 15 to the end of February; glass containers are prohibited; cans, milk cartons and the like will be removed by the Company
  • Flowers may be ordered through Fairmount Florists (303) 399-0692

Memorial Terrace

  • Cut flowers or artificial flowers in Company-provided vases are allowed on Memorial Terrace year round
  • Iris, referred to as Flags, may stain the marble and are not permitted in the original (southern) portion of Memorial Terrace.
  • Holly, artificial flowers or evergreen may be placed in proper vases without water. Evergreen wreaths or items hanging from the vase ring are not permitted and will be removed.
  • Glass containers, cans or baskets will not be permitted in the area of crypts or in vase rings and all floral decorations deemed unacceptable by the Company will be removed

Orchard Cove

  • No flowers are permitted; there are no vases on niches

Fairmount Mausoleum

  • Only fresh cut flowers in proper containers may be placed at crypts
  • Iris, which may stain the marble, is not permitted
  • Artificial flowers, dry leaves and wreaths are not permitted except in Private Rooms
  • When flowers are placed in Private Rooms, a mat must be provided by the owner to prevent staining of the marble
  • Bouquets placed in flat bottom containers are allowed where space permits
  • Flower vases are not permitted in Columbarium A on the Chapel Floor nor in Columbariums B, C, and D-North on the Main Floor
  • Flowers may be ordered through the Mausoleum Flower Shop (303) 377-6728

Highline Gardens

  • Flowers allowed in established vases, subject to cemetery rules and regulations
  • All rules of Fairmount apply to this area as well
  • All plantings and landscaping will be established and maintained by Fairmount Cemetery
  • Personalization with pictures & epitaphs allowed in many areas, subject to specifics established by the cemetery
